2014 Elections


In 2014, all elections conducted by the Clerk and Recorder’s Office will be all mail ballot.  Mail ballot drop-off locations and Voter Service and Polling Centers will be open throughout El Paso County for your convenience.  Please see the link below for Voter Service and Polling Centers, and Mail Ballot Drop-off Locations.

2014 PRIMARY ELECTION

The Primary Election shall be held on the last Tuesday in June of even-numbered years to nominate candidates of each political party to be voted for at the succeeding General Election.  You must be affiliated with a major party (American Constitution, Democratic, or Republican) to participate in the Primary Election.

Primary Election Day:  Tuesday, June 24, 2014

IMPORTANT DATES:

Voters who are currently unaffiliated may declare an affiliation with a major political party (American Constitution, Democratic, or Republican) through Election Day:  Tuesday, June 24, 7:00 p.m.

Voters who are currently affiliated with a major political party may change or withdraw their affiliation.  Last day to change or withdraw major party affiliation: Friday, May 23, 2014

Last day to register through a Voter Registration Drive:  Monday, June 2, 2014

Last day to register through the mail, a voter registration agency, Driver's License, or online:  Monday, June 16, 2014

Last day to register in person:  Tuesday, June 24, 2014

NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOGIC & ACCURACY TEST - Wednesday, May 28, 2014 – Thursday, May 29, 2014

NOTICE OF 2014 PRIMARY ELECTION 

VOTER SERVICE AND POLLING CENTERS & MAIL BALLOT DROP-OFF LOCATIONS – Voter Service and Polling Centers will be available to register/update voter registration, vote on the ADA accessible voting machine, request a replacement ballot, and/or drop-off your ballot.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This is an all mail ballot election.  However, you can visit any of the Voter Service and Polling Center locations to vote on the ADA accessible voting machines.

Ballots must be RECEIVED at the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office – Election Department, Voter Service and Polling Center, or Ballot Drop-Off location by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, June 24, 2014, in order for your ballot to be counted. 

Military and U.S. citizens residing overseas must send or transmit their voted ballot by 7:00 p.m. on the day of the Election.  Voted ballots must be in the hands of the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office no later than the close of business on the 8th day following Election Day.  Please refer to Military and Overseas Voting.

2014 GENERAL ELECTION

The General Election shall be held on the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday of November in each even-numbered year.

General Election Day:  Tuesday, November 4, 2014
