TASK FORCE INFORMATION

In an effort to continue election education efforts the El Paso County Election Department has formed several task forces. The task forces are comprised of representatives from the major political parties, local education institutions, the media and other community representatives. The first task force was formed to study the Vote Center concept. The second task force was formed to study elections in general with a big focus on the impacts of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA).

The groups are composed of people who want to address important issues and propose solutions to any problems that may exist. The election department must move forward and select a course of action to bring election processes into the 21st century without losing sight of the only real goal for any election – ensuring a fair and honest election process.
