VOTE CENTER TASK FORCE
1-1-104 (49.8) “Vote Center” means a polling place at which any registered elector in the political subdivision holding the election may vote, regardless of the precinct in which the elector resides.
The El Paso County Clerk & Recorder’s office has established a Vote Center Task Force made up of volunteer citizens, representatives of several special districts, two major political parties, neighborhood organizations and El Paso County Election Staff members. The purpose of the task force is to look at all aspects, pros and cons, of our current process of precinct voting vs. vote center voting and draw conclusions based on their findings. We hope to present a report to the Board of County Commissioners in the Spring of 2005 regarding conclusions reached by the Task Force.
