Presidents Day Offices Closed February 19

On a holiday….or any day or night….you can renew your vehicle registration at our 24-hour kiosk at the North Branch. It takes only a few minutes and you’ll receive the year tab, registration & payment receipt immediately. *Our North Branch is open Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m., located at 8830 N Union Blvd.

The Recording Department is responsible for recording, indexing, copying, and preserving permanent public documents, primarily real estate records.  The Recording Department also is responsible for issuing marriage and civil union licenses in El Paso County.
A goal of our office is to provide as much public information to our citizens as possible, including information related to the procedural aspects of this office. One tool for residents is an online Public Records database to search our index for recorded documents and marriages or civil unions.

Our staff cannot provide legal advice to citizens.  Advising a person on the type of instrument which should be used, or advising a person how to complete a "form" document, may constitute the practice of law.

We suggest that our customers seek legal advice to assess their personal situation. Some sources of legal assistance are available through the 4th Judicial District Court website.
