It is the responsibility of the Clerk to the Board staff to act as the designee for the County Clerk and Recorder at the Board of County Commissioners meetings. At every BOCC meeting, a Clerk to the Board staff member is in attendance, recording the proceedings and decisions of the Board.
They prepare agendas, maintain minutes, attest the President's signature, preserve and catalogue the official records and documents of the Board. The County Clerk and Recorder has been the custodian of records and documents for the BOCC since 1868.
The Clerk to the Board prepares the agendas for Board of County Commissioner meetings. Meetings are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Tuesdays only July - August). Agenda items are coordinated with County officials and departments.
