Elections Department Receives Second Award for
Innovative Program

Congratulations to our Elections team!  The National Association of Counties (NACo) presented El Paso County a 2016 Achievement Award for the program “Innovation in Election Administration” developed by the entire staff of our Elections Department.

This is the second award for our innovative program. Earlier this year, the Elections Department was one of three county recipients presented with a 2015 Innovation Award by the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners.  The program has proven unquestionably successful in each election, saving county taxpayers money, saving staff time, and improving the voter’s experience.

Click here to read the full story on our Elections Department’s recognition and the innovative changes implemented in the 2015 Coordinated Election and now utilized in each election. The result was a better experience for voters and improvements to already efficient procedures with savings in time and money.
